Patrick at 4 years old

I know its been a very long time since I have posted, but there hasn't been too much different here to post about. Since he just turned 4, I thought I would post some new pics I just took of Patrick.

I had some peanut butter swirl Ice cream & I think Patrick is saying he would like some because it smells yummy !

When I sit at the computer, Patrick thinks it means that he can have all the attention he wants. He will come up right next to me to get his neck rubbed.

Some times he likes to lean back as if to say "Look mom, my daddy is giving ME attention" He has developed some rather cute moves. Don't let Snowy's sad look fool you, she is actually VER VERY camera shy & hates her picture taken. She was trying to hide from the camera when I was taking these pics.

Sometimes when I am rubbing his neck, he decides he would rather have his chest rubbed. When he wants this, he will place his paw on my arm & try to push my hand down so I rub his chest instead of his neck. This handsome little boy really knows what he wants when he wants it.

Just a little Spoiled

WOW ! I just found this post for the blog that I made in 2009 & actually had it saved as a draft instead of posting it, Well better late than never I guess.

I know it has been too long since I posted on here, but I have been very busy with my job & starting a new one. Patrick has learned that bedtime is one of his favorite times to cuddle.
Dana took these this morning just as Iwas getting up. At first Patrick looked like he was telling her to leave us alone. Then he settled down and cuddled with my arm around him & put his head on my pillow. This boy really knows how to get comfortable with his daddy.

LEAVE MY DADDY ALONE. He's Sleeping ! ! !

I don't care what you say, I'm NOT spoiled! ! !

Our Little Jumping Bean

Patrick has his own way of saying that he wants to come in. He never barks or whines at the door, he jumps. When he jumps up he taps the window with his paws. He starts by putting his paws on the door & looking in & if we ignore him he starts to jump. He also really hates it when we just wave at him, that really makes him start to jump. I got a short video of that today & thought everyone might get a laugh at our little jumping bean at the back door.

We actually do get snow at the Jersey Shore

Well the snow stopped falling and they decided it was ok to go out. I got up around 2:30 this morning to do "my" business & Patrick & Snowy wanted to go out and do thiers. I went to thier door and opened it. Snowy took 3 steps outside & turned around and ran back in. Patrick on the other hand, stood just inside the door, looked out, & said "Not on your life dad". It was snowing so hard & the wind was blowing very hard, I just couldn't blame them. This morning when things calmed down, we actually wound up with about 7" of snow. The "kids" have to get used to it and check things out first, but then it's play time.

Just a little side note here. Patrick will have to go back to school again for his CGC & TDI. This was not his fault tho. We had to stop going to class because Dana was having a flare up with her MS, & it was just too difficult to make it there. Once the next class starts he will be back & should do just fine. I don't think that Patrick minds tho, he always enjoyed going to class and interacting with everyone.

"Hey DAD ! What's this white stuff doing in our yard again????

Ok Snowy, let's check this stuff out.

This white stuff checked out ok dad, Can we play now ???

Patrick

Just thought I would post a couple of very cute photos. First, Patrick loves all the presents he got at the birthday party, but he does have a favorite one that he just can't resist playing with. You can tell in the photo by how dirty he gets it, that he just loves this one to death. I think we may need to replace it by the looks of it.

I was getting ready to go to the Scout Round Table meeting tonight & laid my uniform shirt out. When I turned around, Patrick was trying to tell me that he didn't want me to go anywhere. He wanted me to stay home and give him some attention. You can tell by his look that he was not happy that I was going out anyway.

Snow Time

We finally got some snow down the shore. I was looking at how nice it looked outside, when the two "children" wanted to go out. I grabbed the camera to catch a couple of pics of them playing. While I was taking the pics, I wondered if Patrick would remember what snow was. I mean he was so young the last time we had snow. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. WOW ! ! It was one year ago today that we went to pick up our little boy. We can't believe it has been a whole year already that this little furbaby has been with us. For those of you that didn't get to Jazz's birthday party, Patrick has grown up to be a fantastic little boy...oops.. I mean young man. Well, he will always be "Daddy's Little Boy", no matter how old he gets. Patrick is continuing his education, and starts back to school tomorrow night. He will be working on his CGC and it looks like they will be doing the TDI at the same time.

To all of the lovely people who have been lucky enough to have one of these furbabies from this litter, we know that your lives have been made so much better by thier presence and love. We are calling this Patrick's Home Comming Day, because this is the aniversary of him comming to his forever home.

What is this white stuff in our yard ?

Patrick has one little quirk, he doesn't like to get his paws wet. If it is wet out, he usually has one paw raised, this time it is his right rear paw.

He does have a beautiful profile.

Our Christmas Fur Angels

As many of you have seen on my blog, I have a link on there to Blaze's Rainbow Residence. This is a wonderful place to remember my very special Dal who gave me so much love. Today someone visited her residence & left me such a sweet message about my fur angel that I just had to share these thoughts & prayers. May everyone have a special joyous Christmas remembering your own special fur angels.

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Blaze, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember the way her sweet love touched your life, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for each of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us this special season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it most.... And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved furbaby bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your fur-angel would want for you this year ... With best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty & DJ's mom)
